Description
Rare antique guitar from 1850 – built in the style of a Vienna Stauffer guitar.
This guitar was built with very high quality materials and very expertly around 1850 in Markneukirchen. There is no indication of the builder, but the way of construction and the type of materials used, suggest a great builder.
The Brazilian rosewood used for the back and sides is the highest quality available at that time. In addition the guitar has a very fine spruce top and an ebony fretboard.
Striking are the inlays and the headstock, which are certainly inspired by Stauffer’s guitars, but made in a unique and beautiful style.
This guitar was certainly built for professional use by a very talented master.
It has been very professionally restored to keep it in its original condition. It plays very well with a low action.
The guitar sounds fantastic and can easily compete with the best instruments from Stauffer. It has that magical sound that immediately takes you to another time and far away places.
A dream guitar that produces the most beautiful timbres. It also has the volume and power you would wish for such a guitar.
