Description

P. Bernabé Sr. (* July 2, 1932 in Madrid; † May 10, 2007 Madrid) was one of the greatest and best-known guitar makers from Spain. Before setting up his first workshop in 1969, where he has worked with his son Paulino Jr. since the 1980s, Paulino Sr. worked in the workshop of José Ramirez III in the 1950s and 1960s. Bernabé guitars are still played in important locations around the world today. Thibaut Garcia, for example, the winner of the 2016 Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) competition, has been playing a Bernabé for several years.

The Especial model is one of the most characteristic guitars made by Paulino Bernabe. It is a first-class concert guitar that combines all the characteristics of a great instrument and offers a brilliant, powerful sound, an extremely wide range of timbres, a large dynamic range and excellent playability. The sides of the Especial model are doubled with cypress on the inside, and the top has a typical traditional Bernabe bracing. The woods were selected according to the most demanding criteria and the setup offers perfect comfort for the left hand. It is definitely an established model among professional guitarists and this guitar in particular shows why P. Bernabe guitars are among the best Spanish instruments.

The guitar is in very good used condition and comes with the original case and Bernabe certificates.
