Miguel Rodriguez 1960’s 2a guitar – a great guitar from this famous shop in Cordoba

This guitar was made in the workshop of legendary guitar maker Miguel Rodríguez, located in 15 Alfaros Street (Córdoba).
Miguel Rodriguez’ guitars are objects of desire for collectors and performers all around the world because of both its meticulous construction and the personality they have.

Miguel Rodriguez always dedicated himself intensively to building flamenco guitars and achieved fantastic results. Till today, there is almost no big-name guitarist who does not have a Rodriguez guitar in his collection.

This instrument has been made with a spruce top and back and sides of rosewood. The scale length is 650 mm and th nut width 52 mm. The action is great with 3.5 E and 2.8 e ath the 12th fret.
It is a 2a or “segunda” guitar, which was made according to the construction details of the master, but not made by himself.

The sound of this guitar shows quality and personality. The basses are powerful, with extraordinary depth. The trebles are crystal clear and bright, with great scope and sustain, and showing a perfect balance between both of them.
The sound is also very versatile, with a complex tone and an enormous range of the most beautiful timbres. It’s a very well-balanced guitar with a robust, creamy sound. It also has that nice quick, bouncy response.

The guitar is perfectly setup and gives the player a high comfort for both hands. The condition is good, but the guitar has a repaired crack on the top.
