Description
Michael Wichmann 2011 Flamenca Negra – very high quality flamenco guitar with incredible sound!
Michael Wichmann started making guitars at the age of 25 and has been a guitar maker for about 50 years. He has traveled all over Europe to learn and teach in about 20 different workshops. A particular highlight of his career was in the early 1980s when he toured Spain, France and Portugal with a “Mobile Guitar Workshop”. Today he lives in Hamburg, where he also opened his first workshop, and builds replicas of historic instruments as well as his own concert models.
This beautiful Flamenco model was built in 2011. Not only visually, it is a very special instrument with back and sides made of CITES-certified Rio rosewood. The joint is made of fine alpine spruce. The scale length is 660 mm and the nut width is 52 mm.
The guitar is in good condition and has only superficial playing marks.
This guitar can be played in flamenco and classical styles. It is both percussive and singing, has a clear, powerful attack, long sustain and a richly colored tone.
It has tremendous power, and the highs are clear and focused. Basses are prominent and pleasantly growly. The balance between treble and bass is excellent. It is a very flexible guitar – loud and growling when played hard, but it also sings with the sweetest melodies when played softly.
A true high-end guitar – with all the qualities you would expect from a great, masterfully built guitar.
The guitar comes with the original case.
