Description
Martin D-18 1951 – surely one of the most outrageous D-18 we’ve ever come across – you rarely find such a powerful and dynamic sound!
As one of the original Dreadnoughts, the D-18 has captured the hearts of players since the early 1930s.
From Elvis to David Crosby, the D-18 has been in the hands of legendary players for decades.
Similar to the D-28 (without rosewood) this D-18 sounds incredibly warm and loud compared to many other dreadnought guitars.
The woods have opened up nicely and the guitar has a charming woody sound.
It combines in an incredible way a great dynamic and volume with the mild nuance that can only come from a great vintage guitar.
Everything that a lover of vintage guitars wants to have, he will get with this guitar.
This Martin D-18 is perfectly adjusted and plays very well with a low action and a straight neck.
This guitar had some repairs and an old refinish. Before that refinishing process, the black body binding was replaced with white binding (like a D-35). The neck has received that binding along with a refret too.
The guitar comes with an old non original case.
