Martin 000-28 2008 – wonderful sounding guitar in the style of Eric Clapton’s guitar

The history of the Martin company with its German roots goes back to the 1830s. The company’s extremely high standards for the quality of its instruments and its own innovations such as the patented ‘X-Bracing’ for stabilizing the spruce top date back to this time. Both of these features enable Martin guitars to be played even decades later.
Since 1929, the Martin 000 has been available with a neck transition at the 14th fret (previously the transition at the 12th fret was standard); it initially cost $28 with a rosewood body, which explains the type designation. The prices of that time are a thing of the past, what remains are instruments with extraordinary character, outstanding manufacturing quality and a legendary aura.

This 000-28 is a reliable and durable companion. The format of a 000 is slimmer in the waist than a dreadnought Martin, but just as impressive in tone. The rosewood body harmonizes fantastically with the Sitka spruce top and the ebony fingerboard.

This Martin 000-28 from 2008 is in good overall condition with only minor signs of use. It has a spot on the back where the varnish shows signs of wear. A pickup was installed but has since been removed. Playability and string action are perfect. The guitar comes with a matching case (not original).
