Description

Martin 000-18 GE Golden Era 1937 from 2011 – this guitar is in excellent condition and a great opportunity to get a fantastic guitar based on Martin’s classic pre-war “Golden Era”. Playing it is a real joy – like an 80-year-old instrument traveled through time unscathed. Made with a solid Adirondack Spruce top and solid Mahogany back and sides, it’s unequivocally Martin, from the way it sounds to the way it plays. Warm and woody lows, round, bell-like highs, and clear mids make it an immensely versatile and responsive player. The slightly shorter scale is great for blues tunes and bends, and it’s just as great for folk and raucous bluegrass.

Here with a 44,45 mm (1 3/4″) nutwidth that’s a great, comfy fit for most players, it has a long-style saddle with 58,74 mm (2 5/16″) string spacing, an Ebony 1930s-style belly bridge, and cool vintage style nickel open-geared tuners with oval buttons. Aesthetically modeled after the ’37, it features an Old Style 18 rosette, Old Style 18 inlays on its Ebony fingerboard, and a Delmar tortoise-color pickguard. The neck is made from select Hardwood and has a comfortable Modified V shape with a 30s-style heel. The body has tortoise-color binding and a killer Rosewood backstrip. Here in Excellent condition, it does have a minor finish only wear from play and use. At only a couple years old, this Martin 000-18 GE Golden Era 1937 has many, many years ahead and will only sound better the more it’s played. Included original hardshell case and paperwork.
