Luis Sanchez Rodriguez 2009 “Negra” – great sounding, easy playing and great looking handmade guitar!
This year on a trip to Spain we happened to discover the guitars of Luis Sanchez Rodriguez in Marbella (Andalusia).
We were immediately thrilled, because such magnificent sounding guitars are usually much more expensive. Luis Sanchez Rodriguez’ guitars are entirely handmade, very well built and visually extremely appealing.
The guitar is very light and has a spruce top and beautiful rowewood back and sides. It has a cutaway and an extremly well made heart-shaped sound hole.
The scale length is 650 mm and the nut width 51 mm. It plays extremly well all the way down the neck.
It has a traditional flamenco sound in perfection, with a fast attack and a sharp flamenco tone, which immediately excites and thrills you.
It has beautiful basses and is nevertheless a very balanced instrument. The rosewood gives the sound a wonderful depth and brilliance. The tone is a perfect blend of beauty and true flamenco aggressiveness. If massaged by the player, it sings with a sweet voice that is warm and full, but if pushed, even just a little – it awakens with a powerful bark that only the best flamenco guitars can produce.

It is in very nice condition, with just some small amount of playing wear. It comes with the original case.
