This guitar is particularly remarkable for its elaborate inlayworks, its fine construction and its nice materials. Even the fretboard has mother of pearl inlays all over, which makes this nice instrument a piece of art and highly decorative. The woods are of first class and the construction of this guitar is of the highest standarts. One can really only speak in superlative terms about this guitar.
The scale length is 630 mm and the nut width 46 mm. It has a spruce top and rosewood back and sides.
This guitar is a true master grade guitar that was certainly built at the time for a guitarist for professional use.
It has a strong and authoritative voice with exceptional balance between the singing highs and the deep lows. Huge dynamic range and just perfect playability.
The tone is thick yet clear and has an essential warm, mysterious and moody quality. The sound comes with controlled and balanced layers of overtones stacked on the crystal-clear fundamental.
The condition of the guitar is very good and it has been expertly restored by Paul Janssen. It plays very easily with a straight neck and low action.
