Description
Jose Ruiz Pedregosa 1993 flamenca negra – incredibly beautiful guitar, with unique construction and perfect sound!
Jose Ruiz Pedregosa is the only disciple of the Spanish luthier Jerónimo Peña Fernández. He builds handmade classical and flamenco guitars which are works of art.
His workshop has become a meeting place for many guitar lovers and flamenco players: El Cabrero, El Tomate, Vicente Amigo, El Curri, Jose Luis Postigo, Manolo Siveria, and Juan Núñez.
Because he is a guitar maker who works alone using traditional methods, Jose’s production is very limited and nowadays he has a long waiting list.
This guitar is a very special model built by Jose Ruiz Pedregosa. It is simply magnificent and a work of art. The headstock is has beautiful carvings as well as the bridge. The woods of this guitar are of very high quality. It has a cedar top and rosewood back and sides, which is so special on this guitar. The amount of work involved in this construction work was huge.
The scale length is 657 mm and the nut width 52 mm.
The sound of this guitar is powerful, thick and with great volume. It has a wonderful and sweet tone. The trebles are clear and focused. The basses are firm. The balance between treble and bass is excellent. It is a very flexible guitar – loud and growling when played hard, but it also sings with the sweetest melodies when played softly.
A true high-end guitar – with all the qualities you would expect from a great, masterfully built guitar.
The condition is good and original – it has been played a lot and shows quite some amount of wear from play and use. It plays easily with a low action and a straight neck. The great neck profile allows fast playing.
It comes with a hard case.
