Description

Jose Romero 2017 Especial – exceptional flamenco guitar – with amazingly good sound quality!

There are only 2 of these guitars in the whole world. The concept was developed by Jose Romero together with the world-famous guitarist Ramon Jimenez. This guitar has a cedar/rosewood construction in the bass range, which gives it very distinctive and warm bass tones, while the spruce/cypress construction gives the trebles clarity and spontaneity.
Ramon Jimenez has already recorded an album with his Especial and performs regularly with it. This guitar is identical to the one used by Ramon Jimenez and was commissioned from Jose Romero by a Ramon Jimenez fan.

The Spanish guitar maker Jose Romero Garrido was born on 12 April 1954 in Baeza (Jaén). In 1968, when he was only fourteen years old, he began his career as a guitar maker by entering the workshop of José Ramirez as an apprentice. There he developed outstanding skills, became a master and one of the leading builders in the Ramirez workshop.
In 1983, Jose Romero left the Ramirez workshop to build his own instruments and opened his own workshop.
Jose Romero works alone and builds fine handcrafted classical and flamenco guitars using traditional techniques. Therefore, his production is limited.

This beautiful flamenco has, in addition to the already described sound characteristics, an outstandingly noble sound. The balance between treble and bass is excellent. It is a very flexible guitar – loud and growling when played hard, but it also sings the sweetest melodies when gently plucked.
A true high-end guitar – it has all the qualities you would expect from a great, masterfully built guitar.

This guitar is well set up and plays very nicely. It has a scale length of 660 mm and a nut width of 52 mm.
The guitar is in very good condition and comes with the original guitar case.
