Description
Jose Rodriguez “church door” guitar in the style of Miguel Rodriguez – a wonderful instrument with an estonishing sound!
Jose Rodriguez was born in Andújar in 1958. He started building guitars at an early age and learned a lot from the great masters Miguel Rodríguez and Manuel Reyes before opening his own workshop in 1972.
His guitars are works of art, completely handmade. Many famous guitarists play his guitars … Pepe de Lucia, Vicente Amigo, Paco Serrano and many more.
This amazing guitar is built in the style of the famous Miguel Rodriguez church door classical guitars. Jose Rodriguez had a close relation with Miguel Rodriguez and was greatly influenced by his guitars.
This guitar is simply great and a work of art. It has a nice cedar top and back and sides of matured rosewood. The scale length is 660 mm and the nut width 52 mm.
The sound of this guitar is powerful, rich and dark – as elegant and majestic as its appearance. It lives up to its reputation with ease – with powerful and thick trebles, and loose, boomy basses giving the guitar a big personality with its fiesta-like exuberance. It is incredibly easy to play – Jose Rodriguez being famous for the comfortable shape of his necks, this one being a fantastic example.
This guitar really has it all – the look, sound and feel of one of the most iconic instruments of the twentieth century. It sounds as majestic as it looks – big, broad and lush sound with flamenco-like response and an entirely southern Spanish character to it.
The condition is good, but it has some amount of use and play all around. It plays easily with a low action and a straight neck.
It comes with the original case.
