José Ramirez flamenco guitar from 1965 – extremly nice guitar from Ramirez’ golden era. This guitar is truly among our favorite Ramirez flamenco guitars we ever came across.
There is not much to say about the name Ramirez … this family of luthiers has formed the history of guitar making like no one else.
For more than 100 years they have been producing world-class guitars.
This guitar comes from the so-called golden age of Ramirez. In the 60’s, when Jose Ramirez III revolutionized the body shape and inner construction of the guitar, these wonderful instruments were built.
This guitar is a collectors instrument. It is in very nice condition for the age and has been well taken care all these years.
This guitar has the great flamenco sound known from the old recordings of the great master Sabicas.
The sound offers a huge power and dynamic. Definitelly one of the loudest flamenco guitars. The basses are truly powerfull and the trebles are clear and distinguished. All tones comes with a pleasent vintage warmth, which gives this guitar a lot of charm. The guitar unfolds the most beautiful timbres in every single not and it is hard to put it back in the case.
It plays very easy, with a low action, a straight neck and a perfect setup.
The top is made of cedar and back and sides of cypress. The scale length is 655 mm and the nut width 54 mm.
It comes with a good guitar case.
