Johann Haslwanter was a famous instrument maker in Munich.
He was the royal court instrument maker in Munich and is known for his outstanding quality in instrument making. His guitars follow the tradition and style of Johann Georg Stauffer’s guitars.
This guitar was very expertly built using very high quality materials.
One piece maple back, highest quality Stauffer style tuners, subtle ornamentation – plus impeccable and masterful craftsmanship … all this makes this guitar a very noble instrument.
The maple used for the back and sides is of outstanding quality. The guitar also has a very fine spruce top.
This guitar has been restored and shows quite some repairs. We have checked everything and gave it a good setup. It plays very easily with a straight neck and low action.
The guitar sounds precious and immediately impresses with a very complex tone. The basses are deep and the trebles are smooth, lively and colorful with great expressiveness.
As soon as you play the guitar, you have the impression of merging with the instrument, because the sound is very touching, this guitar arouses deep emotions and you can literally feel the notes jumping out of the instrument.
