Description
Jesus Bellido 1999 – furious sounding guitar in the traditional style of the guitars from Granada!
This flamenco guitar was built by Jesus Bellido in 1999. He started working as a guitar maker at the age of 10 in the workshop of Manuel Bellido (his father and mentor). Seven years later, at the age of 17, he started building guitars under his own name. His guitars are very easy to play and have an outstanding sound quality and a very personal timbre.
This guitar is Jesus Bellido’s personal concert model and it is a virtually archetypal example of the great Spanish guitar. Built in the traditional way with spruce top and rosewood back and sides, it develops a warm, round and intense sound. Moreover, the playability is fantastic with a low string action and a very pleasant neck profile. The trebles have a remarkable presence and the guitar is overall extremely balanced in sound.
When struck hard, it unleashes crisp bass and really starts to growl – A fascinating instrument.
The woods selected for this guitar are alpine spruce for the top, with a perfectly straight and even grain, and rosewood for the back and sides. The details of the edge work and the finish are just perfect. The guitar has a scale length of 650 mm and a nut width of 52 mm.
The condition is good and completely original. The guitar has a few traces of use. There is a fine hairline crack in the lacquer under the bridge, but it does not go through the wood. It has been checked by our luthier and is stable.
The guitar comes with the original case.
