Description

Helmut Hanika Model 18 1983 – great guitar in Torres style, handmade in Germany!

At HANIKA, they understand craftsmanship as precision work and sound as art. A guitar from the well-known Baiersdorf manufacturer is a symbol of quality and traditional craftsmanship. Combined with pioneering innovations, it has been the basis for the company’s success story since 1953. Master guitar maker Helmut Hanika founded the company in 1953 and Armin Hanika took over from his father in 1993.

This magnificent guitar is a classic guitar in Torres style. As it is typical for Hanika guitars, this instrument is made of great woods. The top is made of the best spruce wood, the back and sides are made of impeccable Indian rosewood.
The 650mm scale length and 52mm nut are characteristic of this guitar. The set-up is great: low, fast, without buzzing.

The sound of this magnificent guitar is wonderfully versatile, with a complex tone and an enormous range of the most beautiful timbres. The sound is powerful and majestic on the one hand, but the guitar also impresses with clear, sparkling trebles that convey a sense of great projection. It’s a very well-balanced guitar with a robust, creamy sound. It also has that nice quick, bouncy response, a characteristic found in the best Torres-style instruments.

The guitar is in good condition and has some wear from play and use due to its age.
