Description
This Gibson LG-2 from 1948 is the real deal – rocked hard, with a sound to die for! It is a harmonically rich acoustic guitar, with a ton of vibe and a great “opened-up” tone as well as excellent playability – exactly how we want them.
This nice guitar solid spruce and mahogany construction, with a nicely aged warm sunburst finish, a mahogany neck topped with a rosewood fingerboard, a rosewood bridge. It has the original vintage tuners.
This guitar is in very nice vintage condition – some wear from play and use, but incredibly clean for the age.
It plays very easily with a straight neck and good frets. It had a neck reset and a refret.
This guitar is one of the most articulate, mature mahogany guitars that we’ve owned – just amazing. Rich and deep … a very powerful guitar. The whole construction and the matured woods create this most haunting voice that can’t be described with any degree of accuracy.
The FON in the inside has faded. Acording to the specs it is a late 40’s and according to the information of the previous owner it can be dated to 1948.
It comes with the original Gibson case.
