Gibson L-00 1943 – cool Mississippi Delta Blues guitar
The Delta Blues sound would never have been without the unmistakable tone of the L-00. And this beauty has all the vintage vibe you could ever want. Just looking at her makes you want to pick up and play a little Robert Johnson. As a piece of history!
Wartime guitars had tall, thin, and deeply scalloped top bracing which results in lively tops and wonderful tone for both fingerstyle and strumming.
This one is in pretty nice condition considering the age. It has been refinished in th 60’s and received a neck reset. The pickguard is a newer one too. It plays incredibly easy with a low action, a straight neck and good frets.
The factory order number at the neck block is hard too read. With the help of the previous owner it could be dated to 1943.
We love the lively and open sound of this guitar. We’re confident you’ll be thrilled with this lovely 1943 Gibson L-00!
It comes with a newer case.
This Gibson L-00 from 1943 is an extremely rare and historically significant guitar.
