Description
A great Gibson J-50 from the post-war period. During this time Gibson built very high quality instruments with high quality materials.
This is also the case with this guitar. The guitar has an Adirondack spruce top. Among the connoisseurs this kind of spruce top is very popular, because it has an excellent oscillation ability and thereby produces an incredibly dynamic tone.
Back and sides of this guitar are made of high-quality and very beautiful mahogany.
You can already see that the sound of the guitar is outstanding – that’s the way it really is when you play the first chords. The sound is exceptionally powerful. It has the typical humming basses of Vintage Gibson guitars. The sound is very mature and has a nice mildness and sweetness.
This guitar will inspire every musician, that’s for sure.
The guitar makes a very clean impression despite its age. A long time ago it was repainted very discreetly. In our opinion it was done very well and the guitar has obviously unfolded its sound even more.
The playability is perfect. The neck is straight and the action is flat. The frets are still in good condition. A neckreset was already made in the past, so there is nothing to fear.
