Description
Gibson Hummingbird 1968 – truly a special one for many reasons …
This guitar has a wide neck with a 43 mm nut width and is therefore very comfortable to play. It is perfectly set up, with a straight neck and low action.
Many years ago, the guitar was played a lot on stage and was badly damaged during a gig. It was then completely restored and reassembled in a stable condition.
The Gibson Hummingbird is one of those famous Gibson models – the list of the famous players ranges from Bob Dylan to Keith Richards to Mick Jagger – this guitar simply has the ultimate cult status. It is probably the most beautiful of the Gibson models.
This one sounds very open and warm with some nice atack, good basses but not muddy at all. Really one of the great sounding 60’s Gibson dreadnoughts we heard! A guitar with character and history.
It is in player grade condition and has multible repairs to the top and the right side. Our luthier has checked the guitar and all repairs are stable. The guitar is ready for the next stage.
It comes with a newer hard case.
