Description
Here is one of the best historical guitar reproductions we have ever seen … a Vihuela by Dieter Hense from 1976.
It is a vihuela in E. The basis for the reproduction was an instrument by Luis Milan (1535/ 36).
Dieter Hense is considered one of the best guitar builders in Germany. He is one of the traditional builders of concert guitars and reproductions of historical guitars – his instruments are extremely popular with professional and amateur musicians worldwide.
This vihuela is of the very highest class craftsmanship … hard to find an instrument of this quality.
It is tuned in E and has fixed frets. This makes it perfect for guitarists who want to bring historical music and old sounds to life in style.
The sound is breathtaking – transparent and light. Very clear and absolutely charming. The vihuela also has good sustain and captivates with its fine and sweet tones.
It is an absolute pleasure to play this fine instrument and let it take you to faraway places and times gone by.
It has a 65 cm scale length and 55 mm nut width. The top is made of spruce and the back and sides of maple. The instrument is 6-course and has all kinds of beautiful inlay work, including this stunning handmade inlay in the soundhole.
It is in good condition … has some wear of play and use. Comes with the original case.
