Description

Master built guitar by Hermanos Conde, with an irresistible sound! If you are trying to find a high-end Hermanos Conde Flamenco guitar – this is it!

The Story started with Domingo Esteso. He was one of the great guitar builders at the beginning of the 20th century. Esteso died in 1937, but Faustino Conde and his brothers Mariano and Julio continued the workshop under the name ‘Vda y Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso’ and then ‘Hermanos Conde Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso’.

When the young Paco de Lucia finally became aware of Conde at the end of the 60s beginning of the 70s – he had previously played Ramirez – they had created their own type of guitar, with incredibly strong basses and singing trebles – simply brilliant flamenco guitars.
Paco was seen from then on almost exclusively with Conde, which naturally found its imitators due to the popularity of Paco. In the old TV recordings of the 70s there is almost no young guitarist who didn’t play Conde.

Faustino Conde, who is considered to be in charge of the construction of the old Condes, has written flamenco history.
This legend of the Condes has remained to this day.

This guitar was made with the best materials, the finest craftsmanship and the most beautiful features – it is a guitar that corresponds quite exactly to that of Paco de Lucia.
The date on the label has faded away, as well as the signature.

The top is made of fine german spruce. Back and sides are made of best cypress wood.

Rocked hard, but what a sound … this guitar has most probably seen all stages in Spain and has been played like crazy throughout all the years. Its a beaten up guitar with many scratches and some repairs.
This guitar has definitely had a hard life, but this has formed the sound to what it is today … a furious sounding guitar, with an open, punchy sound … a wide range of timbres and an enormous volume.
One of the best Conde we had … great dynamic and penetrating, but also very balanced and clear. A sharp and biting tone when it is played hard, but sweet and singing melodies come out when you play it gentle – hard to find such a flexible guitar like that one.

It is well adjusted and it gives the feeling that the guitar plays by itself. Perfect action, straight neck. The scale is 650 mm and the nut width is 52 mm. In addition the guitar comes with the original but beaten up case.
