Antonio Morales Nogués Model Maestro Flamenco Negra – Exceptional Craftsmanship and Unparalleled Flamenco Sound

This Flamenco Negra model is based on the Conde guitar that Paco de Lucía played. Antonio Morales had a tight relation with Paco de Lucia and is sometimes called the last luthier of Paco de Lucia. When Antonio and Paco were together, Paco affectionately referred to his Conde because the guitar required very high-tension strings to achieve good projection. Together, Paco and Antonio decided to develop a guitar that would be easier to play while still maintaining the essence of Paco’s Conde guitar – the result is this Maestro model.

Antonio Morales Nogués is one of Spain’s most respected luthiers. He was born in 1956 in Monesterio. At the age of 15 he moved to Palma de Mallorca, where he still lives and works.
He was trained by George Moore Bowden, with whom he later worked for many years. Since Bowden’s death, Morales has continued to run the workshop in Palma. He is renowned for his close relationship with Paco de Lucía. Paco played many guitars crafted by Morales and valued their extraordinary tonal quality and craftsmanship. Other famous musicians, such as Tomatito and Vicente Amigo, have also played Morales guitars, further solidifying their status in the Flamenco world.

The Model Maestro Flamenco Negra is a masterpiece that combines Flamenco tradition with modern innovation. This guitar delivers a rich, full-bodied sound with warm, resonant basses, clear, singing mids, and brilliant trebles. Its responsiveness is remarkable, projecting a powerful and balanced tone perfect for both solo performances and accompaniment. The body is constructed from premium Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, paired with a finely grained Spruce top, creating a nuanced and expressive tonal palette. The nut width measures 52 mm, the scale length is 670 mm, and the string action at the 12th fret is set at 2.8 mm (E) and 2.3 mm (e), ensuring effortless playability and maximum control.

The guitar is in excellent condition, with only minimal signs of use, and remains completely original. It comes with its original robust hard case, providing optimal protection for this exquisite instrument.

This Antonio Morales Nogués Model Maestro Flamenco Negra is a rare gem for Flamenco enthusiasts and musicians seeking an instrument that sets the standard in both sound and craftsmanship. A true inspiration for any player!
