Sometime we find guitars that amaze us. This guitar has such a unique sound, which is absolutely outstanding.
Antonio Ariza was a luthier based in Granada (Spain). He started as a furniture maker and later went to study with Eduardo Ferrer. He worked for him several years and opened his own shop later on. He has been building classical and flamenco guitars and is widly considered as one of Granadas best luthiers.
This guitar was built in 1976. It has a cedar top and rosewood back and sides. The scale length is 655 mm and the nut width 54 mm.
It has a strong and authoritative voice with exceptional balance between the singing highs and the deep lows. Huge dynamic range and just perfect playability.
The tone is thick yet clear and has an essential warm, mysterious and moody quality. The sound comes with controlled and balanced layers of overtones stacked on the crystal-clear fundamental. It has an almost cathedral-like presence, which gives it plenty of power for any concert hall.
This guitar easily rivals those costing 2-3 times as much.
This guitar is in great condition for iths age. It has no cracks, repairs or modifications. The neck is straight and it plays great with a low action and good frets.
The guitar comes with the original case, some pictures (showing the shop of Antonio Ariza) and documents.
