Description
Alfredo Pastor Granados 2010 – Flamenco guitar in the style of the great masters Gerundino Fernandez, Manuel de la Chica, Manuel Reyes
Alfredo Pastor Granados is a guitar maker who started making guitars at a young age in his uncle’s workshop in Seville. Soon after, he went on a long journey to improve his craftsmanship. He was drawn to Granada, where he spent a long time learning from Manuel de la Chica. He later spent some time with Gerundino Fernandez in Almería and also had the opportunity to work with Manuel Reyes in Córdoba.
At the age of 35, he moved to Dos Hermanas near Seville, where he set up his workshop and devoted himself entirely to making his own guitars. Due to his training, his specialty is, of course, flamenco guitars, which he builds to perfection based on his extensive experience and insights from Spain’s greatest guitar makers.
This guitar has a spruce top and cypress back and sides. The nut width is 52 mm and the scale length is 650 mm. The string action is comfortably low at 2.8 mm E and 2.3 mm e at the 12th fret.
This fantastic flamenco guitar has a fast response and a big, woody, traditional flamenco sound. More specifically, the tone is clear and focused with a slightly brighter sound character. It plays great – the lightweight construction gives it a very explosive response with great dynamics. It has a robust sound with very clear highs.
This fine Alfredo Pastor Granados flamenco guitar comes with a matching case.
