Alexandre Voboam baroque guitar 1676 – beautiful handmade instrument from the workshop of Miguel Dominguez – a replica of a Voboam guitar from 1676!
The Voboam family of luthiers were active in Paris from 1640 until 1740. They were the leading makers of guitars at that time and produced guitars of the highest level.
A wonderful and very well done replica by Miguel Dominguez from Algecircas (Spain). Miguel Dominguez is a diciple of Carlos Gonzalez. His guitars are built historically true using the materials and methods of the time of the original guitars. We highly recommend the guitars of Miguel Dominguez!
It has a breathtaking tone – transparent and light. Very clear and absolutely charming. The guitar also has a good sustain and impresses with fine and sweet tones.
It is an absolute pleasure to play this fine guitar and to let it take you away to far away places and past times.
It has a 675 mm scale and 48 mm nut with. It has a spruce top and walnut back and sides. The instrument has 5-course and all kind of beautiful inlay works including this stunning parchment rose in the soundhole.
