Adamas by Ovation 1685-2 from 1990 – impressive 12-string guitar that not everyone has!
Adamas was founded in 1976 by Charlie Kaman, the founder of Ovation, in search of a more robust sound. Many prototypes were made in 1976-77, and around 1978 Adamas began producing models in the style that remains today.
This is a rare Adamas II 12-string “1685-2” model in red color with deep body, The carbon graphite top and deep round body made of the resin Ovation is famous for, give this great guitar a special depth in sound and the corresponding punch – the guitar is very loud! The guitar also has a good and direct attack, which can only be achieved with this Adamas construction. The OP24 preamp system gives this 12-string guitar a good and dense amplified sound, which is one of the reasons why these guitars are still so popular today.
The guitar is in good condition, with few signs of play and use. The neck is in excellent condition and is easy to play. The original case is included.
This Adamas 1685-2 is a great choice for those who have always wanted to play a 12-string guitar, but have generally been put off by the action of these instruments. This guitar plays like butter and you don’t realize you are playing a 12-string guitar.
