Abel Garcia 8-string guitar – amazing handmade classical guitar custom built for the guitarist Gerard Edery.
This instrument was built in Mexico by Abel Garcia – one of Paracho’s most respected contemporary luthiers.
It was built for Gerard Edery, it’s only owner to date. Gerard Edery has a good relation to Abel Garcia and ordered some instruments from him. After all these years of playing this guitar he want to sell it and give other guitarists the opportunity to enjoy this amazing guitar.
Also the famous Pepe Romero picked up a guitar from Abel Garcia during a festival in Paracho in 2000 and he also ordered other guitars later on, because these guitars truly have extraordinary sound qualities.
This fantastic 8-string guitar was in concert ready use from the day it was strung up and it still sounds fantastic.
It has a rich sound, very textured and velvety, with great volume and clarity. The action is set very comfortably, and helps make this an overall very enjoyable guitar for player and audience alike.
It has a spruce top and rosewood back and sides. The scale length is 642 mm and the nut width 70 mm.
It is in great shape – apart from some minor aesthetic wear in the finish and the center seam on the top reglued. It has also a repaired crack on the top left side of the fretboard.
It comes with its custom made guitar case.
