Description

Jeronimo Peña & José Ruiz Pedregosa 2004 – a masterpiece of 2 great luthiers – it looks and sounds amazing!

This 2004 Spanish guitar, crafted by Jeronimo Peña in collaboration with José Ruiz Pedregosa, is a testament to the artistry and expertise of two of Spain’s most admired luthiers. An inscription in the body of the guitar declares: Combined experience (2004-2005) of the masters Jeronimo Pena and Jose Ruiz Pedregosa.
It embodies the rich tradition of Spanish guitar-making, offering an instrument of unparalleled tonal depth, power, and elegance. The label is from Pedregosa, but beneath it is a label from Pena too.

The sound of this guitar is bold, thick, and dark—as majestic as its appearance. Jeronimo Pena’s guitars have often been compared to those of Ignacio Fleta with that haunting, mysterious and dark sound, combined with a substantial power. And this guitar truly boasts remarkable volume and a uniquely distinctive tone, with an incredible balance of depth, complexity, and dynamic range. The fundamental notes have a firm presence, ensuring exceptional projection, even in larger venues. The sustain is nearly endless, producing a sound that fills the room with warmth and resonance.

In terms of playability, the guitar is a dream—effortless and comfortable, with a low action that makes it highly responsive. The scale length is 650 mm, and the nut width is 53 mm, offering a traditional yet smooth playing experience. The top is crafted from the finest spruce, while the back and sides are made of stunning rosewood, adding to the instrument’s rich tonal complexity.

The guitar is in good condition—2 cracks have been professionally repaired. It comes with the original case for protection.

This guitar is a true collector’s piece and a performer’s dream, representing the heritage, craftsmanship, and musical excellence of two of Spain’s finest luthiers.
