Description
Abraham Ortega 2017 – flamenco guitar with a huge punch and a great dynamic!
Abraham Ortega is a Sevilla based luthier. He learned in the shop of the famous Andres Dominguez and is his successor.
His guitars fall into a special category. They are true hand made instruments, built by an old-school luthier using the finest materials. They possess a wonderful sound and are very affordable.
On our last trip throug Spain we were able to test some guitars from Abraham Ortega … we were really surprised about the incredibly good sound of those guitars and we selected this one for our shop.
This guitar has a nice cedar top and a cypress body – a nice combination which produces an incredible flamenco sound. The scale length is 660 mm and the nut width 52 mm. It plays great with a low action and a straight neck. The action at the 12th fret is at 2.8 mm E and 2.1 mm e. The saddle of the bridge has still room left forfurther adjustments.
The tone of this particular instrument is sweet, warm and lyrical while retaining the full bite and energy of flamenco: when playing melodically, it sings like a human voice, but also awakens with a tremendous bite when pushed hard. The strong, voice-like trebles are balanced by it’s big low-end that is full but not boomy.
The excelent craftsmanship allows the body to unfold a very nice flamenco tone with the most beautiful timbres.
This guitar is in great condition and comes with a guitar case.
A great chance to get a high quality handmade guitar at an affordable price.
