Gretsch American Orchestra 35 1948 – rare vintage Archtop Hollow Acoustic Jazz Guitar in Gibson L5 Style.
The Gretsch Model 35 American Orchestra archtop guitar appeared in 1933 and was built until 1949. This rare Gretsch Jazz Guitar from is from 1948 and is in excellent condition. It has been very expertly restored and comes with a beautiful vintage case. The serial number 3300 dates it to around 1948. It was built in Brooklyn New York.
Solid hand carved really nice tightly grained spruce top. Ebony fingerboard, Maple back and sides. Solid binding and end pin. The F holes are small, and the original tuners are Waverly and work well.
This guitar plays superb and has a loud projection for a Jazz guitar. It would be very hard to find a better example. This guitar is extremely rare in Europe. The production of these guitars was very limited and not many are around on todays market.
The neck is perfectly straight, original frets are in good condition. The guitar has new strings and has been given a professional setup. It is intonated and stage ready.
