Description
Francisco Muriel de los Rios 2001 Flamenco Guitar – this is a great instrument, if you are searching for a good sounding, nice playing handmade guitar at an affordable price.
Francisco Muriel de los Rios is a guitar maker from Sevilla. We came across his guitars on our last trip to Spain and were amazed by the good sound these guitars have.
This fine guitar by Francisco Muriel de los Rios from 2005 is a flamenco guitar built in the traditional Andalusian style.
It has a cedar top and cypress back/sides. The scale length is 664 mm and the nut width is 54 mm.
This guitar has that certain something that guitarists love … a wonderfully deep and dark sound. It has fire and you feel it at the first touch – extremely loud and very responsive.
It sounds very Spanish with a mystical and warm nuance. It has an immediate response with a honeyed, deep, woody texture. The guitar is light, typical of the good Andalusian flamenco guitars. It has a powerful and well balanced sound.
The guitar is in good condition, but has a few smaller repairs. It is surely not the nicest one out there, but It has received a refret to ensure that playability and comfort are excellent.
It is adjusted with a low action and plays like butter with its slim neck profile.
