This exceptional 7-string guitar, built and signed by Samuel Carvalho in 2017, is a testament to his deep understanding of luthiery and dedication to craftsmanship. Carvalho, who began his musical journey at the Municipal Conservatory of Guarulhos in 1985 and later studied at the Mozarteum University, was inspired by legendary guitar makers such as Sergio Abreu, Hermann Hauser, and Ignacio Fleta. His passion for building high-quality instruments led him to study and refine his craft by analyzing guitars from Rubio, Fleta, Romanillos, Hauser, Conde Hermanos, and others. Over the years, his pursuit of excellence extended to the creation of 7, 8, 10, and even 11-string guitars, with constant input from professional musicians who tested and played his instruments.

This beautiful 7-string guitar features a spruce top and rosewood back and sides, delivering a sound that is powerful, rich, and dark—both elegant and majestic. It effortlessly lives up to its reputation, with brilliant, singing trebles and deep, resonant basses that give the guitar great personality and balance. The scale length is 650 mm, and the nut width is 60 mm, offering excellent playability. Additionally, the tuning machines have been upgraded for smoother and more precise tuning.
