José Ruiz Pedregosa is the only student of the Spanish guitar maker Jerónimo Peña Fernández. He builds handmade classical and flamenco guitars that are works of art.
His workshop has become a meeting place for many guitar lovers and musicians: El Cabrero, El Tomate, Vicente Amigo, El Curri, Jose Luis Postigo, Manolo Siveria, and Juan Núñez.
As a guitar maker who works solely by traditional methods, José Ruiz Pedregosa’s production is very limited and he has a long waiting list.
This guitar is a very special model built by José Ruiz Pedregosa. It is simply magnificent and a work of art. The headstock has beautiful wood carvings, as well as the bridge. The woods of this guitar are of very high quality. It has a spruce top and rosewood back and sides. The neck has fine ebony inlays.
The amount of work for this construction was enormous and one can imagine that only very few guitars can be finished by José Ruiz Pedregosa every year.
The scale length is 650 mm and the nut width is 54 mm.
The sound of this guitar is powerful with great volume. It has a very full sound that has a dark texture and impresses with a variety of timbres. The guitar is also very responsive and gives the feeling of liveliness and flexibility.
The condition is very good and the guitar is all original. It plays easily with a low action and a straight neck. The finely crafted neck profile additionally allows for fast playing.
It comes with a matching case and a certificate from José Ruiz Pedregosa.
