Description
Hermanos Conde 1966 “Faustino Conde” – fine and exquisite guitar built by Faustino Conde – it sounds just perfect!
This guitar is built by Faustino Conde. A real Media Luna as is is played or was played by Paco de Lucia and almost all professional flamenco guitarists.
It is, of course, from the famous workshop in the Calle Gravina 7 (Madrid), where the founder of the company Domingo Esteso and his nephews worked. In which the myth “Conde Hermanos” has its origin and in which many well-known luthiers have learned their craft.
Musicians know, the 60’s and 70’s are the best time of Conde Hermanos. The quality they provided during this time made them world famous.
Holding this guitar for the first time and noticing the impressive low weight is a great experience.
The guitar offers an absolutely furious sound. Just as you know it from the recordings of the masters. It leaves no wishes unfulfilled. It produces sharp snappy percussive rasqueado, can play sweetly too and has a throaty growl when desired.
Definitelly a sound to fall in love with. A sound which can be found on the recordings of the great old master guitarrists. There are guitars like this, with which you immediately feel an inner connection and which you quickly take to your heart.
Its condition is good for the age. The guitar has been professionally restored. It has repaired cracks as you can see. The playability is excellent.
It has cypress back and sides and a very fine alpine spruce top. The scale length is 660 mm and the nut width 52 mm.
The guitar comes with a hard case!
