Description

Ignacio Fleta e Hijos 1992 – powerful guitar witth deep and charming tone!

This is a great Fleta from 1992, which was built for the great guitar personality Rüdiger Zieroth, who was its original owner. Rüdiger Zieroth was a guitarist from Hamburg. He was particularly famous in Germany for his so-called conversational concerts.

The Fleta design is known for its unique approach to guitar making, bringing in Fleta’s techniques and processes from the earlier period of violin and cello making to the construction of guitars. The resulting sound is very haunting, dark and mysterious, making it wonderfully suited to contemporary, Spanish or South American repertoire. Another remarkable characteristic is its superb sustain in virtually every register. Playability is easy, with a very comfortable neck and response to the right hand.

This particular Fleta has all the elements that one could possibly want from one of their top examples – tremendous power, perfect balance, deep warm tone and ample clarity between voices in all registers. This guitar exhibits these qualities with great, bold style. The condition is very good with only some playing wear and few minor blemishes from use. You can see that the guitar has been played peermanently over the years, but still very well maintained.

Fleta guitars have been played by many of the worlds finest players over the past half century … legends as Andres Segovia, Angel Romero, John Williams, Turibio Santos, Alirio Diaz, and Marcelo Kayath, among others.

This is an extremely powerful and bold Fleta from a great period, very desirable to both the collector and performer alike for its great sound and provenance.

The guitar has a cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides. The scale lenghts is 650 mm and the nut width 52 mm.
It comes with the original guitar case.
