Description

Gibson Southern Jumbo (SJ) 1946 – this guitar has a great sunburst finish and sounds incredibly good!

In the time after the second world war Gibson produced guitars on a very high level. Handcrafted with the best materials and in small numbers – in expert and collector’s circles these guitars are much sought after and deserved to be so.

The Gibson SJ has a spruce top with mahogany for back, sides and neck.
The finish of this model is a dark sunburst, which was the most famous Gibson finish at that time. It has the inlays and decorations typical for this model.

This Gibson SJ 1946 is in very good condition and sounds great – it has a very full sound and in addition it is brilliant, lively and responsive.
The guitar is light and produces the most beautiful tones you can imagine. The woods vibrate incredibly good and give this beautiful guitar a very charming woody note to the sound.

It is in a good and original vintage condition. Actually amazing for a guitar being almost 80 years old. It has a few tiny old repairs (very solid).
It has received a neck reset and the action is pleasantly low. It plays incredibly well.

It comes with the original case.
