Description

Baritone guitar of the “Berliner Werkstätten – Die Gitarre” – a truly outstanding guitar!

Berliner Werkstätten Charlottenburg – die Gitarre, was a brand for high end guitars. They were the leading distributer from first class guitars in Germany and had the exclusive distribution in Germany of guitars by the great Spanish master guitar makers Francisco Simplicio, Domingo Esteso, Santos Hernandez …
They also had good relations to excellent German luthiers, who made guitars under their label.

This guitar was surely made in the area of Markneukirchen, by a luthier under the label “Berliner Werkstätten Charlottenburg – die Gitarre”.

Baritone guitars from that time are extremly rare and we are very proud to present this unique guitar.
The guitar has a fine spruce top and maple back and sides. The scale length is 700 mm and the nut width is 52 mm.
The body was built in the Spanish style with 6 fan braces.

The sound is really very impressive and has great depth in every note across the register with great bass and lyrical highs. The guitar is incredibly assertive and can easily stand its ground in a large concert hall.
But it is also very lively and has a “friendly” tone with great charm and personality. A truly outstanding baritone guitar and a very rare and collectible instrument.

The guitar has been restored and is in playable condition. It comes with a newer case.
