Description
This cool 1943 Gibson J-45/J-50 just came in. It has this killer sound from the old time … adirondack spruce top and mahogany back and sides … all you need for a magical sound experience!
Banner Gibson Dreadnoughts are among the most sought after vintage guitars. During war time Gibson produced only a few instruments and took great care in building each instrument.
They used the best materials on this particular one. It has a very nice adirondack spruce top and beautiful mahogany back and sides. It has a very nice and chunky mahogany neck and a thin coat of finish (it has been professionally refinished in the 60’s).
We don’t know if this guitars has started its life as a J-45 or a J-50.
This Gibson is very resonant, has a balanced sound with impressive basses, present mids and a characteristic trebles. The sound is deep and the guitar vibrates perfectly. It has this charming sound you can only find on a well played and beautifully matured vintage guitar.
The action is perfect and it plays extremely well all the way down the neck.
The bridge has enough space left for further adjustments and no neck reset is needed.
Comes with an older but non-original hardshell case.
