The J-45 Model is Gibsons so called work horse. A guitar which is reliable and flexible. No wonder why this model is the most sold acoustic guitar in the world and countless musicians have played these guitar. A vintage Gibson J-45 is a must have for every guitar collection. These guitars are very good for recordings too.
The Gibson J-45 features a spruce top with mahogany for the back, sides and neck.
The finish on this one is a dark sunburst, which was Gibsons most famous at the time.
This 1955 Gibson J-45 model is in good playing order and sounds great – it’s very full, brilliant, lively and responsive.
The guitar is light like a feather and creates the most beautiful tones you can imagine. The woods vibrate amazingly and give this beautiful guitar a very charming dry and wooden sound.
It is in a very good and original vintage condition. It has had a neck reset and the action is spot on. We can find an old repair on the left side of the top. The finish around the repair has been lightly touched up. The tuners are vintage style, but not original. Our luthier has checked the guitar and it is ready to go.
The action of this Gibson J-45 is low and it plays great with a straight neck.
It comes with a newer hard case.
