Description

Karl Frey – very nice reproduction of a baroque guitar!

Karl Frey is a luthier from Amstetten in Austria. He won an award for his guitars in the Hispano-French Exposition of 1908 in Zaragoza. Later Karl Frey opened a music store.

This is a handmade guitar, a very nice guitar. Karl Frey built it in the style of a baroque guitar. But it plays like a modern guitar, with 6 strings and normal frets. It has a scale length of 610 mm and a nut width of 41 mm. It is very lightly built and therefore has a very good resonance with an impressive volume.
The sound is also clear and sweet. One feels directly transported into another time with the sound of this guitar.
A wonderful instrument to revive songs and sounds from past centuries.

This guitar is a lot of fun and absolutely inspiring.

It has a spruce top and maple back and sides. It is in restored condition and plays very nice.
