Description

A great sounding classical guitar, that has been built in the shop of José Ramirez II in 1931. It has the real old Ramirez sound … a great guitar and a piece of history!

The Ramirez family is the most illustrious dynasty in the guitar world. The saga started around 1870 when José Ramirez I finished his education with Francisco González and set up his own workshop. José Ramirez II (1885-1957), who made this guitar, continued to built guitars in the way his father did.
Many of the greatest guitarists, in both classical and flamenco, has played Ramírez instruments.

This guitar has a spruce top and pearwood back and sides. The scale lengths is 650 mm and the nut width 51 mm.
It is in original condition and has been restored professionally some time ago.

We’ve not seen many of that old guitars, that play so nice with a low action and a straight neck. The saddle of the bridge still has plenty of space left for future adjustments.

The sound is a real deal … a true vintage sound which you can only find on the best old guitars built by a skilled master. It has a robust, creamy quality to the sound and has a nice quick, bouncy responsiveness, a characteristic found in the best Spanish instruments.
It has these deep basses and a round nice vintage tone. A rich sound with the most beautiful timbres.

A hardcase is included in the sale.
