Description

A wonderful guitar built by Vicente Camacho – well played with an amazing vintage sound!

Vicente Camacho was born in Madrid in 1928, making his early living in cabinet making – always an auspicious profession for one ultimately destined to be a guitar maker. He apprenticed with Modesto Borreguero (one of the workers in the Manuel Ramirez shop, along with Santos Hernandez and Domingo Esteso) from 1952 to 1960, when he set up his shop at calle Amparo, 3 in 1960.
His guitars are entirely handmade and his production was limited to around 12 guitars a year.

This guitar is a beautiful example of a nice high quality Madrid guitar.
The sound of the guitar is an absolute pleasure … there are guitars like this with which you immediately feel an inner connection and which you quickly take to your heart. This is exactly the case with this guitar.
The sound is very touching and this guitar awakens deep emotions. The basses are round and precise, with a very special and enchanting quality. The singing and crystalline trebles offer a fantastic range of timbres. The sound has also a warm, lyrical quality to the upper registers and it has very open but clear basses.
From the exterior, you can tell that this guitar has been played and loved for countless hours over the years.
Some may be put off by the exterior condition – but experienced players know the quality hidden in such characterful guitars.

It plays like a dream – very loose and easy on both hands. The scale length is 655 mm and the nut width 52 mm. The top is made of spruce, the back and sides of Indian rosewood. Beside the obvious playwear, the guitar is in good condition with no cracks or repairs.

It is perfectly adjusted and ready to go. It comes the original but eaten up hard case (repaired handle).
