Description
Beautiful handmade instrument from the workshop of Hans Herb – replica of a historical vihuela of Luis Milan (1535/ 36)
In 1972 the guitar building workshop “Herb” was founded by Hans Hermann Herb in Erlangen, Bavaria.
1983 Hans Hermann Herb was recognized as a independent artist by the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg. This is also the reason for his status as an art workshop for guitar building.
Hans Herb is also specialised in the reproduction of historical instruments. This wonderful vihuela is proof of this.
It has an impressive sound that immediately transports you back to old times. It is amazing how loud it can get and how sweet the sound is represented in the different registers.
An absolute highlight for lovers of historical music.
One-piece maple back, spruce top with inlay, rosewood fingerboard, 645 mm scale length, maple neck, beautifully carved rosette, wooden pegs made of rosewood.
It is in a good and original condition.
