This Gibson J-50 1955 is a real gem with character in appearance and especially in sound. Here you get the ultimate vintage sound.
We personally like the sound of this Gibson because it has a very strong vintage touch. The sound is deep and the woods resonate just great. The basses have a lovely growling and it is the perfect guitar for recording, stage or personal use at home.
It plays perfectly and is wonderfully adjusted. Low action, straight neck and well preserved frets.
As you can see in the pictures the guitar has a very nice vintage look. It is a one owner instrument which has been played and nicely aged. It very good and original condition. A pickguard crack has been repaired and the center seam reglued. Tuners have been replaced, with original vintage Klusons tuners. We were told that the sondhole tortoise inlay has been a custom feature from Gibson for this guitar. The owner ordered it directly from Gibson.
