Description

Ricardo Sanchis Nacher is the founder of Sanchis guitars and the grandfather of Ricardo Sanchis Carpio. He lived from 1880 to 1960.
The shop of Ricardo Sanchis in Valencia was founded by Ricardo Sanchis Nacher in 1915. He has worked for guitar makers in Valencia for sometime, went to Madrid where he was befriended by Manuel Ramirez and Domingo Esteso. To perfect his craft, he remained in Madrid working for Domingo Esteso (the founder of todays Hermanos Conde guitars) on Sundays for three years.
As a result, the Sanchis family has had close relationships with Esteso, and with his heirs, the Hermanos Conde, ever since.
Ricardo Sanchis Nacher’s son, Ricardo Sanchis Badia, learned his craft in the family workshop in Valencia. Ricardo Sanchis Carpio took over the firm from his father, finally building it into a shop with an international reputation for the quality of their classical and flamenco guitars.
This guitar is a beautiful instrument that convinces through its balance and a beautiful Spanish sound, very prominent basses and great volume.
Despite being a modest guitar, this guitar tells a great history, and it’s impressive sounding Flamenco character underlines its importance, combining a punchy attack to sweet warmth and passionate dynamics that only come from more than eighty years matured excellence.
It has the soul, dynamics and personality only found in the greatest matured Flamenco guitars. This wonderful and likely unique guitar would be a great addition for any player and/or collector. It comes with a newer hard case.
It was built around 1930. The soundboard is made of spruce, back and sides are made of very fine cypress.
This guitar is in a very good condition for its age and was lightly and very well restored, so that the originality of this very rare guitar was preserved.
