Rare antique guitar from around 1820 – built in the style of a Vienna Stauffer guitar.
This guitar was built with very high quality materials and very expertly around 1820. There is no indication of the builder, but the way of construction and the type of materials used, suggest a great builder.
The Maple used for the back and sides is of very nice quality. In addition the guitar has a very fine spruce top.
This guitar is built with less decoration in a modest way.
It is in a very good condition for the age and has lightly been restored. It plays very well with a low action.
The guitar sounds fantastic and can compete with the best instruments of that time. It has that magical sound that immediately takes you to another time and far away places.
