Antonio Picado’s guitars are built in his small workshop in Berga, a town high up in the Pyrenee Mountains near Barcelona.
For over 40 years, Antonio Picado has dedicated himself to the art of guitar making. The instruments coming out of his are some of the best values in classical guitars these days.
They combine great playability, beautiful sound, excellent workmanship, and a long history of guitar making into suprisingly affordable guitar.
This “Concierto” model feature fine a solid, top grade Canadian Cedar soundboard, solid selected Rosewood back and sides with a very thin finish to promote resonance. In addition this guitar has the famous “doble tapa”, a special back improving the resonation of the guitar, invented by Manuel Contreras. It has a Honduran cedar neck and Ebony fingerboard.
The tuning machines are the best Fusteros.
Tone and sustain are exceptional on this guitar. It has well-defined notes throughout and a big volume. The doble tapa gives this guitar this extra of brilliance and dynamic, while the excellent woods let the timbres shine.
It has a 650mm scale length and 52 mm nut width. It is adjusted very well with a low action and a straight neck.
The condition is good and this guitar has only light wear of play and use.
It comes with the original hard case.
