Solch eine Gitarre kommt nicht alle Tage! Eine Viuda y Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso. Diese Gitarre ist eine ganz im Stil von Domingo Esteso gebaute Meistergitarre, die wahrscheinlich von Faustino Conde gemacht wurde.
Ich muss sagen, ich bin begeistert. Eine absolute Meisterleistung steckt in dieser Gitarre! Hier hat jemand mit Herzblut, Fachkenntnis und absoluter Liebe zum Detail gearbeitet und ein Meisterwerk geschaffen.
Was für ein toller Klang. Die Hölzer sind fabelhaft getrocknet und sie hat einen unglaublich tiefen Vintage Sound. Einfach unnachahmlich. Durchdringende Bässe, kräftige Mitten und klare/feine Höhen.
Das Instrument ist federleicht und vibriert so das man den Sound am ganzen Körper spüren kann. Solch einen raumfüllenden, wuchtigen und trotzdem charmanten Ton habe ich selten bei einer Gitarre erlebt!
Domingo Esteso Lopez wurde in San Clemente im Jahr 1882 geboren. Er gehört zu den wichtigsten und berühmtesten Gitarrenbauern des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts. In den 1890er Jahren begann er mit seiner Gitarrenbauerausbildung bei Manuel Ramirez in Madrid und arbeitete auch mit anderen berühmten Gitarrenbauern zusammen wie Modesto Borreguero und Santos Hernandez. Nach dem Tod von Manuel Ramirez im Jahr 1916 arbeite er für etwa ein Jahr für die Witwe des Verstorbenen weiter bis er schließlich im Jahr 1917 seine eigene Werkstatt in der Calle Gravina eröffnete. Dort arbeitete er auch ab dem Jahr 1926 mit seinem Neffen Faustino Conde zusammen. Domingo Esteso Lopez verstarb im Jahr 1937 aber Faustino Conde und seine Brüder Mariano und Julio führten die Werkstatt weiter unter dem Namen ‚Vda y Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso‘ weiter.
Sie wiederum wurden weltberühmt unter dem Namen “Conde Hermanos”.
Diese Gitarre wurde im Jahr 1942 gebaut und hat eine Fichtendecke. Der Boden und die Zargen sind aus feinstem Zypressenholz gefertigt. Die Gitarre wurde restauriert. Ein paar Risse wurden repariert. Bei all diesen Arbeiten wurde die Gitarre aber weitestgehend im Originalzustand belassen.
Der Hals ist gerade. Die Gitarre hat eine top Saitenlage und lässt sich optimal bespielen. Vom spielerischen Aspekt echt traumhaft!

The Spanish luthier Domingo Esteso Lopez was one of the great guitar-makers of the early part of the 20th century that apprenticed with Manuel Ramirez. After Manuel Ramirez died, he opened his own shop on the calle Gravina, where he was joined by his 13 year old nephew Faustino Conde in 1926, as did Mariano Conde in 1929. After his death in 1937, Faustino and his two brothers, Mariano and Julio Conde continued working under the label Vda y Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso. All these guitars are considered monumental and historical, some of them are shown in the great Museums around the world telling the most important part of the history of the Spanish guitar.
This is a 1942 Viuda y Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso guitar. Despite being a modest guitar, this guitar tells a great history, and it’s impressive sound underlines its importance, combining a punchy attack to sweet warmth and passionate dynamics that only come from almost eighty years matured excellence.
Its current condition is good, the playability is excellent and it plays with with great ease. Holding this guitar for the first time, and noticing the impressive low weight is a great experience. On the first stroke you immediately feel, hear and understand a great guitar maker had its hand in making this guitar.
The guitar is in a good condition. There is some wear to the original varnish finish, showing evidence of almost 80 years of playing, some cracks have been repaired professionally. The guitar shows original finish and frets.
It features a spruce top, Cypress back and sides. The fingerboard was made by ebony. The nut width measures 52mm width at the nut, 654mm is the scale length.
This guitar has the soul, dynamics and personality only found in the greatest matured master guitars. This wonderful and likely unique guitar would be a great addition for any player and/or collector. It comes with a suitable case.
